We are excited to partner with a leading food manufacturing company in North Yorkshire, dedicated to producing only the highest quality food products for customers in Retail, Manufacturing, and Food Service. We are seeking a skilled Technical Manager to lead their technical operations and ensure products consistently meet industry-leading standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee and ensure compliance with all regulatory safety standards, acting as the key liaison between the company and external regulatory bodies.
* Guarantee adherence to corporate, regulatory, and food safety quality requirements across the facility.
* Assess and improve standard operating procedures, verifying customer food safety and quality requirements.
* Serve as the bridge between the business and customers, reviewing product performance, conducting quality audits, and addressing any customer concerns or complaints.
* Lead the implementation of product specification systems and drive a culture of continuous improvement in processes and customer relations.
* Conduct plant tours and audits, ensuring compliance and improvement.
* Actively participate in and lead projects related to food safety, process optimization, regulatory compliance, and team training.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:
* Previous experience in a food or drink manufacturing environment, ideally with regulatory and food safety expertise.
* Strong experience interacting with external stakeholders such as regulatory agencies, external manufacturers, and customers.
* Passion for maintaining high food safety and quality standards.
* Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems using your deep industry knowledge.
* Leadership skills, with the ability to motivate teams, drive projects, and ensure successful delivery.
* A valid UK driving license and the permanent right to work in the UK.
