An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dynamic Operational Service Lead within the Community Paediatric Service of the Children`s Directorate at Wirral University Teaching Hospital.
The role of the Operational Service Lead will be to implement and support improvement plans across the service, working closely alongside the Directorate manager and clinical team providing regular updates and assurance of project and service delivery, therefore strong project management skills are desirable.
The Operational Service Lead is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective day-to-day running of the service delivering key quality, performance and financial plans, achieving key service improvements within the service and line managing designated staff.
Reporting to the Directorate Manager, the post holder is a key member of the senior Directorate leadership team and will develop and implement service plans to secure the agreed objectives for the Division and make a positive contribution to delivery of health care across the local health community.
To ensure the management and delivery of improvement plans across the service.
To ensure the efficient and effective day to day running of the service.
To work with the Divisional team to support the strategic direction of the Division, including the production of Directorate Plans and Objectives.
To understand and manage the service budget and assist in ensuring the financial viability of the Directorate and constituent services.
To ensure that all activity and performance targets set out in the Directorate Contracts and Divisional performance reviews are met in full. This includes ensuring that staff at all levels, are aware of their role in achieving them.
You need to have excellent communication with stakeholders both internal and external to ensure the service meets the varying demands.
You will report to the Directorate Manager and liaise with them on a regular basis, escalating any issues and problems, and devising and implementing solutions.
