What you’ll do:
* Lead and manage bids and tender submissions for the Transport business, reporting to the Business Development Director.
* Manage a Bid Team based in Warwick and London, planning resources to pursue opportunities effectively.
* Ensure optimal utilization of resources to maximize business opportunities.
* Oversee the end-to-end management and production of high-quality, successful bids following telent’s procedures.
* Improve bid quality continuously by adopting best practices.
* Monitor bid costs and seek to improve the return on bid investment.
* Develop relationships with existing and potential customers through meetings and presentations.
* Manage Bid team performance, KPIs, and SLAs.
* Lead bid strategies, from Go/No Go decisions to bid submission and post-submission support.
* Plan workload, forecast bids, track costs, and report on win/loss metrics.
* Conduct bid reviews and maintain the Bid library.

* Extensive experience managing and leading a high-performing Bid Team, with a focus on efficiency and success rates.
* Proven success in leading winning bids in the Public Sector, including Traffic, Rail, and Emergency Services markets.
* Strong project management, organizational, and financial skills.
* Knowledge of Traffic, Rail, Telecommunications, and IT products and services.
* APMP or equivalent qualification with demonstrated bid success.
* Excellent writing skills for tender responses and financial responses.
* Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to develop commercial propositions based on customer needs.
* Ownership, accountability, and a positive, resilient attitude.
