Enthusiastic Care Assistant (Diabetes) required to help pupils with medical needs such as Diabetes, including the administration of medication, comprehensive observation and monitoring of blood glucose levels/ketones when required. This role would include the comprehensive on-going medical assessment of pupils, including break time and lunchtime periods, to determine when a child is in need of particular medical assistance. The candidate would be expected to appropriately respond to the findings of the comprehensive medical assessment effectively. The right person for this role should be able to develop and maintain effective and supportive contact with parents, staff and external professionals, exchanging information and liaising with them as required. The successful candidate should be prepared to work at any of the schools within the Multi Academy Trust; however, the position is initially based at Flax Hill Junior Academy. All schools in the MAT have extremely high staff retention rates.
