Procurement Manager – Food (Fruit & Veg / Bakery) – UK & Ireland

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for food procurement and category management? JSS Search are supporting a F&B hospitality business with hiring a Procurement Manager to take ownership of our Fruit & Veg and Bakery categories, supporting a dynamic portfolio of foodservice operations across the UK and Ireland.
In this role, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to drive value, manage supplier performance, and help deliver on our sustainability commitments. You’ll lead end-to-end category strategies, shape commercial partnerships, and ensure alignment with our long-term business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and deliver category strategies across Fruit & Veg and Bakery, working alongside the Head of Procurement
* Manage supplier relationships and performance, including onboarding and joint business planning
* Lead negotiations, tenders, and contract management to ensure cost-effective and compliant procurement
* Collaborate with stakeholders across ESG, Supply Chain, Technical, Finance, and Operations
* Provide procurement expertise to internal business units, supporting with escalations and market insights
* Drive continuous improvement in supplier standards, risk management, and data-driven decision making
About You:
* 5 years’ experience in procurement, ideally within foodservice or food manufacturing
* Proven expertise in category management and strategic sourcing
* Strong negotiator and confident communicator, with experience working cross-functionally
* Knowledge of procurement systems and commercial contract frameworks
* A proactive, analytical mindset with a passion for innovation and sustainability
