A bit about the job:
This role focuses on the management of investments in the Aviva UK IWR Shareholder funds. The high-visibility activities the role holder will support, and in some cases lead, include:
1. Portfolio management and manager oversight.
2. Risk management and governance support.
3. Investment Strategy, implementation and monitoring.
4. Calculation of financial metric impacts of trading activities.
5. Oversight of collateral management and derivative activities.
6. Support the change agenda of the organisation and CIO function.
7. Production of Management information (“MI”) and ad-hoc proposals for decision making committees.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
1. Extensive experience in Insurance investment management, Derivatives, LDI or Risk.
2. A sound understanding of UK insurance regulations, and Matching Adjustment rules for annuities.
3. Strong written / oral communication skills, with good attention to detail, time management and organisational skills, showing an ability to prioritise and plan in a flexible and proactive manner.
4. A relevant degree or equivalent higher education, recognised technical/investment professional qualification (e.g. CFA, Actuary, etc.).
5. Strong IT skills, including advanced Excel. Some programming ability (Python, R, VBA) a benefit but not essential.
