Job Title: Head of PMO
Location: Preston. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: £75,000 depending on experience plus executive benefits
What you'll be doing:
* Manages the People, Process and Tooling capabilities serving (Enterprise IT) EIT Demand & Change, and Programmes & Projects with a high quality, robust (Project Management Office) PMO service
* Creating and amending PM functional procedures, and as a result, be an avid contributor to the Project Management Control functional council
* Maintaining a network of recognised experts (inside and/or outside the organisation) that deliver expert advice in areas relevant to the organisation's current and future needs
* Driving the team while leading the oversight of programme/project governance, assurance, controls and finances, monitors and reports their progress compared with the plan and the production of agreed deliverables, and escalates accordingly when/if they are failing to do so
* Overseeing the project lifecycle management (LCM) framework whilst assuring the application of Project management principles and appropriate Project development models whether predictive (plan-driven) approaches or more adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches
* Engagement at industry events to ensure the EIT PMO is up to speed on the latest Project Management and PMO tools and techniques
* Capturing and supporting the vision, mission, strategy, and roadmap for the EIT P&P team to deliver an outstanding service to the business as defined by the leadership team
Your skills and experiences:
* Relevant Technology, Professional or Business degree, with proven previous experience as a; PMO Manager, Senior Project Manager, Programme Manager, Business Manager, or similar role
* Relevant vocational qualification or equivalent experience e.g. PRINCE2, APM, SAFe, MSP etc
* Experience in consultancy, technology, and/or manufacturing industries
* Significant Team Management experience both with internal and external reports
* Proven experience driving PMO continuous improvement initiatives A high level of expertise delivering PMO services at a senior level
