As a Cleaning Operative with Bellrock, you’ll maintain an allocated building or area within a building to a high cleaning standard, ensuring customer satisfaction through the provision of a quality service as laid down in the contract specification.
1. Empty waste bins or similar receptacles, transporting waste material to designated collection points.
2. Sweep floors with brushes or dust control mops.
3. Mop floors with wet or damp mops.
4. Suction clean carpeted areas and perform “spot” cleaning of carpets.
5. Use electrically powered scrubbing/polishing machines to burnish, scrub, polish, and spray clean floors (after receiving proper instruction and training).
6. Dust, damp wipe, wash, or polish furniture, ledges, windowsills, cupboards, radiators, shelves, and fitments.
7. Replenish consumable items (soap, toilet rolls, paper towels) as required within the contract.
8. Clean toilets, urinals, hand basins, sinks, and drinking fountains.
9. Use chemical agents as directed (after receiving proper instruction and training).
10. Undertake wall washing or inside windowpane cleaning to a height no greater than body height plus an arm’s extension from floor level during periodic cleaning maintenance programmes.
11. Carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall function of the job.
12. Maintain confidentiality and observe data protection and associated guidelines where appropriate.
13. Carry out any other duties as required by management, which are appropriate to the role.
Working arrangements

In this role, the successful candidate would be required to work from St Johns Ambulance - Newcastle Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7am to 8am.
