Summary Westley Richards & Co Ltd is a renowned manufacturer of high-end bespoke firearms. Established in 1812, the company has built a prestigious reputation for producing some of the finest quality guns in the world. In addition to firearms, Westley Richards & Co operate a retail store and ecommerce website, where it sells its own manufactured range of leather goods, own-branded clothing and accessories and a select range of third-party brands. Reporting to the Finance Director, we are seeking a qualified and experienced management accountant for our accounts team to cover Westley Richards and sister company Teague Precision Chokes Ltd. The ideal candidate will worked in manufacturing or retail environments, be comfortable preparing management accounts and possess strong accounting knowledge with attention to detail. Duties and Responsibilities Preparing accurate monthly management accounts, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements. Interpret and provide commentary on the management accounts. Processing weekly payroll for one business and monthly payroll for two businesses. Processing quarterly VAT returns. Hands-on work from time to time, including bank reconciliations, purchase ledger, stock reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments. Work with non-finance people within the business to partner on commercial matters. Deal with external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, HMRC, and suppliers. Experience Previous experience in a management accountant role within an SME. Qualified with either ACCA, CIMA or ACA. Must have experience doing payroll on Sage Payroll. Proficient computer skills – excel – pivot tables and vlookups. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work on your own initiative, and collaborate well as part of a team.
