These are some of the requirements that we need from you: Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to get one Experience working with children or young people with additional care needs Previous experience working as a teaching assistant or in a similar educational support role (required). Experience in managing challenging behaviour and implementing behaviour support plans. Understanding of special educational needs and individualised education plans (IEPs). Familiarity with the national curriculum and how to adapt it for SEN students. Knowledge of relevant SEND legislation and safeguarding policies. Genuine interest in supporting the educational development of children with special needs. Patience, empathy, and resilience. A positive and proactive approach to problem-solving. Strong attention to detail and cultural sensitivity. Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
