A fantastic opportunity for a customer centric IT Administrator to join a friendly and supportive team at the Department for Business Trade for a 3 month interim contract. The team are responsible for running the secure IT systems provision across the organisation which includes supporting users, delivering security assurance and training and awareness. This role requires Security Clearance (SC) and offers hybrid working options. Key Accountabilities Develop and maintain strong relationships with other government departments (including Cabinet Office and Foreign Commonwealth & Development Office) and corporate services to ensure the successful delivery of secure IT systems on a day-to-day basis. Identify, develop and implement changes to improve the department’s digital security culture, processes and the secure IT user experience. Engage with DBT business units within the UK and overseas to understand their needs and ensure that their bespoke requirements are met, and user growth is supported. Support manager in preparing briefings for senior staff at governance boards and forums and be willing to represent DBT on their behalf when needed. Work with the Departmental Security Unit and other Security teams to investigate potential breaches quickly and discreetly. Be responsible for communications and records management along with physical asset storage. Enrol new users prior to training and coordinating training sessions and supporting with these. Administration support, including ensuring Rosa mailing lists are kept up to date, requesting creation of new accounts and managing the security inbox rota. Essential Criteria Effective customer-centric approach, with an ability to engage and communicate clearly to understand and meet their requirements. Strong interpersonal skills and have experience of building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of seniority. Competent with MS Office suite of products. SC cleared Desirable Criteria Knowledge of security (physical, personnel and cyber) and technology, including networking. Experience to analyse and resolve problems and identify areas of improvement. Experience of developing and/or following security processes and policies.
