The role of the Administration Compliance Officer is crucial in supporting our Forensic Case Team by ensuring that we stick to our established policies and procedures. This position plays a key role in maintaining efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement in our administrative operations. The officer will also take charge of managing, documenting, and securely storing exhibits and related paperwork, following the ACPO Good Practice Guide for Digital Evidence, Criminal Procedure Rules, and Civil Procedure Rules. Requirements Key Responsibilities for the role include: Administrative Compliance Ensure all Forensic Case Team administrative activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements. Identify opportunities for improvement and implement updates to Forensic Case Team policies and procedures. Perform booking-in and booking-out administrative quality checks for forensic cases. Conduct final case administration quality checks, including verifying expenditures. Maintain accurate logs and records to monitor company assets effectively. Perform regular audits within exhibit storage facilities to ensure compliance and security. Conduct quality checks on all exhibits received at SYTECH, ensuring all items match consignment forms and are accounted for. Training and Quality Assurance Develop and deliver training materials and sessions for new team members. Maintain up-to-date competency and training records for team members. Identify retraining needs through trend analysis of quality assurance (QA) failures and implement corrective actions. Track quality issues using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) derived from SYTECH’s Case Management System. Technical Compliance Ensure the Forensic Case Team uses the latest validated software versions. Adhere strictly to QISM and ISO procedures in all tasks and workflows. Perform all work with high accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring compliance with data security and integrity standards. Promptly report anomalies or risks of non-conforming work to the relevant management team. Organise and securely store exhibits to ensure effective management and compliance. Internal training will be provided to facilitate your growth in this role, enabling you to become an expert in the field. Qualifications and Experience: Previous experience in an administrative or compliance role, ideally within a forensic, legal, or regulated environment. Demonstrable experience in maintaining accurate records, conducting audits, or performing quality assurance tasks. Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work. Proficiency in using Case Management Systems or similar software. Understanding of QISM, ISO standards, and regulatory compliance within a forensic or similar environment is advantageous.
