Business Manager - Accountancy & Finance
The Finance Business Partner plays a key role in supporting financial decision-making, ensuring effective budget management, forecasting, and financial analysis. This role provides clear financial insights, challenges assumptions, and drives commercial performance while maintaining strong financial control. Working closely with operational teams and senior stakeholders, the Finance Business Partner helps shape strategic decisions and supports continuous improvement in financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
2. Provide financial insight to support strategic decision-making and operational performance.
3. Develop and maintain financial models to assess key business drivers and risks.
4. Monitor and manage cashflow, identifying opportunities for optimisation.
5. Prepare accurate month-end reports and variance analysis, ensuring clarity and transparency.
6. Support business units with cost analysis, identifying efficiencies and potential savings.
7. Act as a trusted advisor to operational teams, providing financial guidance and challenge.
8. Communicate complex financial information in a clear and actionable way for non-financial stakeholders.
9. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure financial goals are integrated into business planning.
10. Influence decision-making by providing insightful analysis and scenario planning.
Key Requirements
1. A recognised accounting qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, or ACA, or equivalent experience in financial planning and analysis.
2. Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
3. Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and business partnering with senior stakeholders.
4. Commercially focused, with the ability to translate financial data into strategic insights.
5. Highly analytical with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
6. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to challenge and influence.
7. Proactive, adaptable, and results-driven, with a continuous improvement mindset.
