Teaching Personnel is looking for a dedicated Functional Skills Maths & English Tutor to support learners in Sutton-in-Ashfield and the surrounding areas. This role is ideal for an experienced tutor who is passionate about helping students build essential skills and achieve their qualifications.
The Role:
We are seeking a tutor to provide one-to-one and small group tuition, delivering engaging and structured lessons tailored to individual learning needs. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Functional Skills Maths and English (Entry Level to Level 2) and the ability to make learning accessible and enjoyable.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver tailored tuition in Maths and English, adapting lessons to different learning abilities.
* Prepare students for Functional Skills exams and assessments.
* Track progress and provide constructive feedback.
* Use engaging teaching methods to build confidence and understanding.
Requirements:
* Experience in teaching or tutoring Functional Skills Maths and English.
* Ability to support learners of different ages and abilities, including adult learners and those needing additional support.
* A recognised teaching qualification or relevant tutoring experience.
* Ability to deliver lessons both in-person in Sutton-in-Ashfield and online.
