What's involved with this role: Temporary Procurement Coordinator/Admin Reference no: ATR 5257466 Pay Rate: £13.60 per hour PAYE Hours per week: 37 Monday – Friday, 8am to 5pm Role Length: This opening assignment is for 6 months City: Wiltshire Hybrid working As an integral member of the Procurement team, the successful candidate will support with the on-going development and day to day activities of the Procurement operations and systems to provide intelligence to the team to facilitate sourcing activity, spend control and supplier management, enabling the successful implementation of the Procurement target operating model. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain a comprehensive and reliable contracts register that supports efficient procurement processes and decision-making, in collaboration with the procurement team Maintain spend data records to identify and investigate above-limit and off-contract spend, providing analysis to key stakeholders within the business. Undertake regular data cleansing, management, and standardisation activities. Support preparation of regular reports for internal and external panels or committees in relation to Procurement and Contract activity. Assist in the development of supplier and contract management activities to provide a coordinated approach across the functions, departments and parties participating in group-wide arrangements. Coordinate and support collaborative working with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders to promote wider understanding of Procurement. Support the administration of the approved supplier list and effectively collaborate with required stakeholders. Deliver training for new users on Procurement systems (e.g., MS Dynamics and In-Tend) and ongoing refresher training for existing users. Develop and keep updated Procurement systems training material including user guides and manuals. Identify and implement process improvements within existing Procurement systems and make suggestions for processes that may benefit from increased automation. Qualifications: 4 GCSE’s Grade C or above, including English Language and Maths or equivalent. Skills & Experience: Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation. Experience working alone, using initiative to resolve issues and working within a team environment. Able to develop effective working relationships with Council Officers, suppliers, other external organisations. Comfortable with change and will learn and adapt from experiences. Strong administration/coordinator experience, having worked collaboratively with internal/external customers. An understanding how to manage them and how to look for process improvements. They will have attention to detail as a strength, they will be very organised and have strong time management skills Previous experience of procurement operations and systems. Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite).
