As a System Development Consultant, you will have the opportunity to lead the development of critical line of business applications, manage the technical environment, and implement service improvements through effective configuration. You will be the go-to expert in design and configuration of NEC Housing modules and will work closely with service users and NEC consultants to produce system requirements and specifications. Your decisions will be crucial in ensuring the best solutions for managing processes and delivering exceptional services to customers.

15. Management of line of business systems used to calculate payments and generate payment files.
16. Advise stakeholders and CDS squads on financial aspects of technical system upgrades and migration work, highlighting potential savings.
17. Support the financial interfaces between systems and ensure data reconciliation.
18. Provide reports, dashboards, and analytical data on the cost of service provision, essential for financial controls.
19. Responsible for timely application configuration for finance recording and support statutory submissions for external funding and budget monitoring.
Key Areas for Decision Making:
20. Make crucial decisions on the use and management of NEC Housing, impacting service delivery to customers.
21. Decide on the appointment of NEC consultants for configuration services or data cleansing operations.
22. Prioritise workload to meet project deadlines and service levels.
23. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders on technical changes, data integrity, system configuration, and process changes.
24. Strategically balance priorities of stakeholders to achieve overall application configuration objectives.
Other Considerations:
25. Occasional evening, night-time, and weekend working may be required to minimise system disruption.
26. Flexibility and mobility may be needed with visits and work across various Council offices.
