You will also be involved in the facilitation of Education and Development programmes and be part of a team who continuously improve standards of clinical care for patients. The team focuses on recruitment, retention, education and development, and the health and wellbeing of all our colleagues. The post holder will lead on partnership working with key stakeholders and will be involved in the development and training of colleagues and students. They will identify opportunities for quality improvements and placement expansion for our learners ensuring that we meet the national standards for placement provision from NHS England. Main duties of the job An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Practice Learning Facilitator (PLF) to work as part of the Education and Development Team, leading in the planning of practice placements for learners across the Trust. They will ensure that high quality clinical placements are maintained for the full range of students/learners undertaking education and training throughout the Trust. Your main workstream will focus on working alongside Student Nurses. They will ensure that the principles that guide practice placements and Practice Supervisor (PS) and Assessor (PA) preparation reflect the Trust commitment to quality, safety and patient experience, and that these are embedded into all clinical practice. Manage a range of placement allocations within the Trust, from various Education Partners encompassing multiple cohorts and academic year timetables. Contribute to the development of PARE profiles; actively participate in the development of PARE audits and action plans, using excellent communication skills for the purpose of providing feedback or escalation of concerns. You will contribute to the implementation of the Safe Learning Environment Charter (SLEC), within the Trust. The post holder will work core office hours Monday to Friday, but there may be an expectancy to have flexible working options and occasional weekend work to attend University Open days. There will also be an expectancy for occasional offsite working at local and regional universities and other external events.
