We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Estimator (PIB / Projects) to join our team at our Glenrothes facility, learning new skills and experiences whilst enhancing those already attained. The role demands accuracy, diligence, resilience and would suit a self-motivated individual.
A market competitive salary will be offered depending on experience. Benefits include 33 days holiday per year (pro-rata, including public holidays), a 5% employer pension contribution, and life assurance.
Outline of Role and Responsibilities
To be part of the sales team, working to provide and sustain sales growth, manage and develop sales. The individual will receive relevant training and assume the following duties. The responsibilities will be shared among personnel to develop flexibility within a busy sales environment. This role will include estimation of our Induction Bending (PIB) products to support group growth.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Dealing with customer and internal sales enquiries.
* Building and maintaining relationships with customers, understanding their business needs, including account management.
* Attending customer meetings where applicable.
* Creating detailed proposal documents, submitting bids, and following up to closure.
* Negotiating price, cost, delivery, and specifications with buyers.
* Sourcing raw materials and services from suppliers.
* Understanding customer requirements.
* Formulating accurate ITT packages, project bids, and quotations, and following up to establish price, costs, and delivery.
* Maintaining internal sales logs and reports.
* Attending monthly sales meetings to present enquiry activities and market intelligence.
* Interpreting engineering drawings and material take-offs.
* Having commercial, contractual, and technical awareness.
* Supporting sales manager with customer visits and presentations.
* Conducting contract reviews and coordinating between sales and project teams.
* Working with the sales team to achieve targets through customer analysis and lead generation.
* Liaising with other departments for delivery dates.
* Procurement of materials and services.
* Supporting team members during busy periods and ongoing projects.
Flexibility
Flexibility is required to perform work outside the specific duties listed.
Desired Experience / Skills
* Experience in manufacturing (cladding, welding, machining) preferred.
* Experience with account management systems desirable.
* Excellent communication skills, ability to build relationships remotely and face-to-face.
* Ability to prioritize and organize high workloads.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office.
* Experience in a similar manufacturing environment advantageous.

* Organized and able to prioritize tasks.
