Embedded Systems Technical Field Sales Manager
£65,000 plus car or car allowance / Midlands / North of England field based
An international leader in Embedded computer solutions seeks an experienced field-based Embedded Systems Technical Sales Manager to be directly responsible for managing key accounts in Medical, Transportation, Marine, Agricultural Technology, Industrial, Aerospace, and Defence markets. You will collaborate closely with customers, partners, and internal teams to define and execute growth strategies.
Core duties for the Embedded Systems Technical Sales Manager:
1. Directly driving new business growth in new and existing high potential customers.
2. Instigating new design-in opportunities with customers to convert short- and long-term recurring revenue.
3. Working with the key embedded partners to develop bespoke solutions for key customers.
4. Conducting negotiations up to closing orders and managing follow-on sales.
5. Establishing and maintaining good relationships with existing and potential customers, from R&D, Engineering, and Purchasing to CEO/CTO level.
6. Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and partners.
As the Embedded Systems Technical Sales Manager you will:
1. Build and maintain excellent and up-to-date product and market knowledge.
2. Maintain contacts with partners and stay trained in their portfolio.
3. Conduct market research and analysis: follow market trends, identify potential customers and competitors, and map out opportunities.
4. Develop sales strategies, draw up quotations, and close deals.
Qualifications, knowledge, and experience required for the Embedded Systems Technical Sales Manager:
1. Educated to degree level in an engineering discipline (such as electronics, computer, aerospace, telecom) or Commercial.
2. Knowledge of embedded computing and customers, with a successful track record of selling embedded computing platforms, Boards & Systems, Display / Monitor and Panel PC, Edge Computing, IoT, and AI.
3. Experience in selling products requiring design and manufacture.
4. Experience in selling cutting-edge embedded systems such as embedded computing platforms, 19” racks, cabinets, rugged enclosures, and power supplies.
5. Sales management experience.
