Joining us as a Network Engineer
You'll be responsible for the development and delivery of the CityFibre DWDM & Optical service portfolio across their technology lifecycle, ensuring solutions are delivered at pace in a standard, scalable, supportable, and secure manner.
You'll receive a salary of up to £60,000, a performance related bonus, and a range of benefits to support you across your financial, physical and mental wellbeing.
Day to day, this is what you can expect to be doing:
1. Interpreting internal or external business requirements and recommending solutions/best practices
2. Creating and contributing to High-level and Low-level designs, test plans, and Method of Procedures
3. Solving complex problems - Identifying applications of functional knowledge and existing methodologies to complex problems
What you'll bring to the role
You'll have technical depth and breadth of optical engineering expertise along with knowledge of transmission DWDM technologies (RLS, ROADM, transponder etc.) to include but not limited to Ciena. You'll also have:
1. Experience in the use of Transmission management platforms, and inventory systems primarily Ciena MCP
2. Knowledge of routing protocols and data networks
3. Experience in the delivery of transmission networks in line with design documents
