Job summary
We are seeking to appoint a catering assistant to join our excellent catering team based at Stepping Hill Hospital. Applicants must be enthusiastic and self-motivated. The role involves breakfast catering assistance.
Main duties of the job
The main duties for the successful applicants include:
1. Maintaining high standards of hygiene within the department, following cleaning sheets and guidelines.
2. Serving on the patient conveyor belt, making up patient food orders.
3. Delivering patient food trolleys to the wards.
4. Serving within staff and visitor outlets, including operating tills.
5. Assisting in making salads and sandwiches as required.
6. Assisting with dishwashing duties.
7. Carrying out general food preparation and cleaning tasks around the site as directed by management.

Work hours
Shifts of 2.5 hours with a 15-minute break, between 7:25 am and 10:10 am, Monday to Sunday on a rota basis.
