In the PS Business Excellence Chapter, we are together supporting all Pharmaceutical Sciences Chapters, Portfolio Squads and Communities. We enable scientists to focus on science. Collaboration, flexibility, a can-do attitude and a growth mindset are critical to being successful in this team. You work in close partnership with your colleagues in the Business Excellence chapter to provide key operational support to colleagues in the Pharmaceutical Sciences organisation.
Our focus is to generate an impact on PS productivity with a sense of urgency. You and the other Business Excellence Chapter members will co-create work systems and practices, to continually improve our support for the Pharmaceutical Sciences Organization. The success of the team will be your success.
As the Business Analyst, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing the operational data strategy within pRED Pharmaceutical Science. You will align operational data management with strategic objectives by focusing on key KPIs and metrics, translating operational data into actionable outcomes for both senior leadership and day-to-day operations. This role is essential in building a foundation for future advanced business analytics capabilities, ensuring that operational data serves the business's current and future needs.
The Opportunity
Operational Data Strategy and KPI management
1. Cultivating a performance-driven mindset by prioritising essential data sets, tools, and metrics that align with core business objectives and contribute to measurable KPIs, while de-emphasizing non-essential efforts.
2. Streamlining operational data management to ensure continuous, efficient decision-making with relevant, integrated data sets that drive progress and support KPIs.
3. Closely collaborate with the PS Operational Data Network, PS Chapters and PS Digital Community.
Operational Performance and Operational Insights
1. Creating reports, visualisations and dashboards aligned with our strategic goals and operational needs, that guide decision-making and are relevant for our performance management.
2. Collaborate with analytics teams across Roche to enhance the strategic impact of operational insights.
3. Driving a culture of accountability and actions based on these insights.
Operational Data Infrastructure to enable advanced analytics
1. Designing and implementing end-to-end data pipelines, working closely with IT departments and other analytics teams to ensure the seamless integration of backend systems and advanced analytics tools.
2. Ensuring the infrastructure supports predictive and advanced analytics capabilities to enable proactive insights and data-driven strategies.
Who are you
1. You have a degree in Data Science, Business/Economics, IT, or Engineering, with strong proven experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
2. You have proficiency in data science, business analytics, insight management, and data visualisation.
3. Strong expertise in data analytics, data science, and relevant tools (e.g., Alteryx, Snowflake, Tableau, ThoughtSpot, Spotfire).
4. You have a strong digital and business-savvy mindset, with experience in process management.
5. Proven ability to translate complex data sets into clear, actionable business insights and messages for the business.
6. Create fit-for-purpose solutions and get things done with a “can-do” attitude.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
8. Collaborative mindset, with strong networking and influencing capabilities.
