About the role
Due to career progression within Adult Social Care, we are looking for five newly qualified, dynamic, and passionate Level 1 Social Workers.
ASYE Positions Available:
* Bridport and West Dorset Learning Disability Community Team
* Peripatetic Team – flexibly working across teams
* East Dorset Locality Team
* Home First Hospital Discharge Team - Poole and Bournemouth
* Home First Hospital Discharge Team - West or North Dorset
Interview Details: Interviews will take place in person during the first week of May at County Hall in Dorchester, Dorset.
Requirements:
* Degree or equivalent in Social Work
* Registered with Social Work England
* Ability to fulfil travel requirements with a full valid UK driving licence (International or Provisional licences are not accepted)
* Use of own appropriate vehicle
* Right to Work in the UK (Relocation allowances and expenses are not available)
Role Expectations:
* Undertake strengths-based assessments, support planning, and reviews
* Work as part of a busy team and alongside other teams within the local authority
* Engage in multi-disciplinary practice

* These are full-time roles at 37 hours per week.

Essential Criteria:
* Degree in Social Work or equivalent and be newly qualified, or be due to qualify in 2025
* Ability to fulfil the travel requirements of the post
For all Social Workers Qualified After September 2012:
* Undertake the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE)
* Meet the expected standards during the ASYE period
* The ASYE scheme is required unless you can prove that you meet the standards laid out in the professional capabilities framework
