The Role
As a Music Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, delivering engaging and high-quality lessons that foster both musical creativity and technical development. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to contribute to extra-curricular activities and help students showcase their musical achievements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Teaching and Delivering Lessons: Plan and deliver engaging music lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, ensuring a stimulating and inclusive environment for students to thrive in.
2. Fostering Musical Talent: Encourage students to explore a variety of musical styles and techniques, while helping them develop their skills in performance, composition, and music theory.
3. Assessment and Feedback: Regularly assess students’ progress and provide constructive feedback to help them develop both academically and artistically.
4. Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues in the Music Department to share ideas, resources, and best practices, ensuring a consistent and high standard of teaching.
5. Extra-Curricular Activities: Lead and support music-related extra-curricular activities such as school concerts, ensembles, and performances, providing students with additional opportunities to develop their musical skills and showcase their talents.
What We Are Looking For
1. Qualifications: A degree in Music or a related subject, along with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant teaching qualification.
2. Experience: Experience teaching Music at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with a proven ability to engage and inspire students in a challenging academic environment.
