About the Opportunity
Our client, a leading Built Environment Consultancy, is seeking a skilled and experienced Retrofit Coordinator to join their expanding team in Manchester. This is a unique opportunity to work on large-scale social housing regeneration projects, managing the implementation of multiple energy efficiency measures across diverse property portfolios.
The role involves collaboration across disciplines, offering the chance to work with professionals in architecture, sustainability, engineering, and building surveying. You will contribute to improving energy efficiency and reducing carbon emissions in housing projects while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the retrofit process from inception to completion, coordinating with in-house or external retrofit assessors, designers, and contractors.
* Safeguard client and public interests by ensuring projects are safe, high-quality, and perform to their maximum potential.
* Ensure compliance with PAS2035 and PAS2030 standards and adhere to DESNZ funding requirements.
* Conduct energy modelling and produce Improvement Option Evaluations and Medium-Term Plans for properties across various projects.
* Lodge completed properties onto the TrustMark database.
* Provide expert advice on energy efficiency measures aligned with client objectives, such as reducing carbon emissions and fuel bills.
* Collaborate with external stakeholders, including social housing providers, asset managers, and contractors, to achieve project goals.
* Gather and manage essential documentation, including retrofit assessment data, technical surveys, and insurance guarantees, ensuring full compliance with industry standards.
* Support retrofit designers in compiling PAS2035-compliant property design packs.
Skills and Experience Required
* Essential: Level 5 Retrofit Coordination & Risk Management qualification.
* Proven experience in retrofit coordination, particularly within Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) schemes.
* Familiarity with PAS2035 processes, including producing Improvement Option Evaluations and lodging work with TrustMark.
* Proficiency in energy efficiency modelling software such as Elmhurst Design SAP 2012.
* Desirable: Level 3 EEM in Older & Traditional Buildings and/or Level 3 Domestic Energy Assessor qualifications.
* Consultancy experience or a background in retrofit-related projects is advantageous.
Personal Attributes
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent written and verbal communication.
* Competent in using various software and Microsoft Office applications.
* Must hold a valid driving license and be willing to conduct site visits as required.
* Able to commute to the Manchester office for hybrid working.
