Placed has partnered with a global luxury brand on an exciting new HR opportunity.
My client is seeking an HR Advisor for a 12-month fixed-term contract.
Reporting to the Head of HR, this role's main focus is to provide comprehensive generalist support on day-to-day HR activities, covering administrative and operational tasks related to managing employees throughout their employment lifecycle.
This role will involve working closely with HR management to ensure the highest quality of HR service is delivered to employees and the business. This is a great opportunity for someone with excellent HR knowledge and a commercial eye to get stuck in and take the next step in their HR career.
Due to the urgency of the role, I can only consider candidates who are immediately available or who have a notice period of 4 weeks or less.
Responsibilities:
* Support with yearly appraisal process/salary review process assisting managers with any queries, organising meetings and ensuring the system is updated
* Analyse employee development data and provide insights to HR and L&D teams
* Analyse PMP and employee development data and provide insights to HR and L&D teams.
* Support HR Management in annual salary reviews, bonus, or other employee benefit adjustments within all outside compensation cycles.
* Ensure that all managers and employees are being made aware of and understand local HR policies and procedures, providing guidance and advice.
* Review, propose and develop new policies and procedures in in accordance with the latest legislation changes.
* Maintain a record of employment contracts and other terms and condition/documents.
* Manage a variety of ER cases, including complex investigations, disciplinary or grievance hearings, flexible working requests, absences, and performance-related issues.
* Coach and train line managers on the ER process.
* Collate and deliver ER reports, providing recommendations on appropriate actions and interventions to address areas of concern.
* Conduct exit interviews, where appropriate, ensuring that exit interview feedback is gathered and reviewed regularly, providing insight to HR management.
* Absence reporting and action plan (maternity, sickness, etc.).
* Ad-hoc reporting as requested for business analysis
* Follow up with the L&D team for the annual Compliance process to ensure 100% achievement on completion.
* Manage Visa processes, ensuring compliance with Home Office regulations.
* Take a lead on the relocation assistance of internal employees.
* Ensure that local HR Intranet pages are regularly updated to reflect brand-related changes (if applicable, ensuring consistency with the group's updates).
* Support the HR management team in creating contracts, adjusting salaries, bonuses, and benefits, and updating data in the internal HR system (SAP).
* Manage the leaver process for exiting employees (resignation acceptance, exit interview, advising Payroll of the leaver, and calculating any outstanding holiday and benefits).
* Ensuring that offers of employment are made and candidates logged in the system with contractual information.
* Support with recruitment-related tasks.
* Research and undertake specific projects and other ad-hoc tasks
Experience:
* Strong HR generalist experience in a fast-paced HR department
* Strong HR experience within a volume-led, fast-paced industry (e.g., FMCG, retail).
* An understanding of current employment legislation within the UK and topical HR issues with experience of independently managing a range of Employee Relations cases.
* Ability to deal with numerous activities and stakeholders as part of this role.
* Ability to build effective relationships with managers and employees at all levels of the business, with good communication skills.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Conscientious, team player, self-motivated, with the ability to think critically and apply attention to detail with high standards.
* Advanced SAP, PowerPoint, Workday, Excel and Word.
