About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a thriving independent practice. This role offers a varied caseload, allowing nurses to utilise their full range of skills across consultations, surgery, inpatient care, and diagnostics.
The practice prides itself on providing a high standard of patient care in a supportive and friendly environment. Designed with patient comfort in mind, the clinic features separate dog, cat, exotic, and isolation wards, as well as distinct waiting areas to reduce stress for visiting pets.
Nurses play a crucial role in consultations, offering weight management support, dental health checks, dietary advice, and senior pet clinics. Surgical responsibilities include anaesthesia monitoring, intraoperative support, and post-operative care.

Key Responsibilities
• Assisting with patient consultations, surgery, and anaesthesia monitoring.
• Providing inpatient care, including administering treatments and monitoring recovery.
• Conducting nursing consultations, including weight clinics, dental checks, and senior pet care.
• Operating advanced diagnostic equipment, including digital radiography and ultrasound.
• Performing in-house laboratory tests and assisting with external lab submissions.
• Supporting chemotherapy treatments in collaboration with referral specialists.
• Maintaining high standards of infection control and hygiene within the practice.

What They're Looking For
• A Qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse (RCVS registered).
• Strong communication skills with a compassionate and professional approach.
• A proactive and enthusiastic team player with a passion for patient care.
• Experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not essential.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy, varied environment.
