Job description
Job Title: Casual Supply Teacher
Location: Bournemouth
Salary: Dependent on Experience/ £120- £150 per day
Start Date: September 2024
Are you an experienced teacher with QTS seeking a flexible teaching role in Bournemouth? GSL Education is currently hiring dedicated individuals to work as Casual Supply Teachers for numerous local primary schools in the Bournemouth area. If you are seeking day-to-day teaching, where you can manage a better work life balance, then this role is perfect for you. You will be able to choose the days you are available to work, and with no planning or marking required, you will be working school hours only.
As a Supply Teacher, you will be filling in for teachers when they are absent, which means this could be across either Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2. The schools all have welcoming and helpful staff communities, so you will be surrounded by staff teams who are ready to help you and answer questions, so that you feel supported in your role as a supply teacher.
While the schools are mainstream primary schools, there are children who have additional needs within the classes, therefore any prior knowledge or experience working with pupils with SEN would be really beneficial.
The role of a supply teacher is flexible and often this means working on a day-to-day basis. GSL Education will always give as much notice as possible so that you can plan your diary around your days teaching. If you are seeking or considering a part or full-time teaching position in the future, then this would be a great way to get to know the local schools and get your foot in the door, ahead of any teaching positions that may come up in the future.
