Sand is a finite resource, and it’s running out. Today, population growth and the pace of progress mean the world is devouring sand like never before – 50 billion tonnes a year globally. This demand is unsustainable. Together with our customers, we have already diverted over 100 million tonnes of waste material from landfills and put it back into the materials market for use in construction; protecting sand & aggregates in areas where natural material reserves are in decline and enabling production to happen closer to markets. We are minimising environmental impact and laying the foundations for the circular economy, and we need your help.
About The Role
This role is fundamental in unlocking the next strategic leap for CDE as the company transitions to a data-driven, controlled approach to forecasting and demand management. The two primary facets of this role are intrinsically linked and will revolutionise our business internally while helping our customers achieve their business goals.
Firstly, you will generate greater customer satisfaction by optimising the Business Development team, acting as an internal champion for them and positioning them for success like never before. Your deep understanding of how business development works will enable you to focus the team to do what they do best while reducing distractions that prevent them from excelling. In streamlining the sales function and the business as a support system, you will liberate our sellers and allow them and our customers to flourish.
Skills Needed
* Have a Business/Engineering/Marketing or related degree or 10+ years of relevant experience
* Are experienced in reporting to a board and external stakeholders
* Have previously held a senior leadership position.
* Have a proven track record of achieving and exceeding business targets and revenue goals, through a data-driven approach.
