To work as an autonomous, clinical highly Specialist Physiotherapist. To work with the Advanced Practitioner therapist to develop and deliver a high quality clinical service. Leading by example; provide a high standard of specialist assessment and treatment of patients. Using evidence based principles / current best practice and advanced clinical skills and clinical reasoning assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.
To take a clinical lead role in the assessment and treatment of patients where the caseload will comprise of mainly patients with highly complex presentations. This will be through highly specialist / extended scope clinical knowledge and application, audit, research and education. It will require liaison with a diverse number of multidisciplinary specialties and integrated working with other disciplines and agencies.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
To be professionally and legally accountable and responsible for all aspects of professional practice including the management of patients in your care. To work within Health Board clinical protocols, procedures and guidelines and Professional Standards set by the HCPC and CSP. To have good working knowledge of national and local standards and monitor own and others quality of practice as appropriate.
To support the delivery of the clinical service across BCUHB in a variety of locations according to service demands, delivering a high quality service in line with the clinical governance agenda.
To undertake the comprehensive assessment and accurate diagnosis of patients, including those with highly complex presentations, using extended investigative, analytical and advanced clinical reasoning skills.
To undertake physical treatments utilising highly developed manual skills, in-depth knowledge of pain sciences and the physiology of exercise, extended scope skills and an advanced understanding of the intricacies of communication with respect to the psychosocial predictors of health.

* Degree / Graduate Diploma in relevant therapy
* HCPC Registered
* Obtained or working towards post graduate (Masters) qualifications or Masters level equivalent knowledge, training and significant experience Extended scope skills e.g. clinical examination skills or working towards
* Able to demonstrate continuing professional development e.g. up to date, relevant CPD portfolio
* Membership of appropriate special interest group
* CSP member
Experience
* Extensive experience working as a Senior Physiotherapist in relevant clinical specialty
* Experience of delivering clinical education in area of specialty
* Evidence of teaching within post
* Proven multidisciplinary working
