Spray Painter
Location: Crayford
Salary: GBP28,000 per year
Hours: Monday - Thursday, 7am - 4pm, Fridays 7am - 11.15am.

Bridge Recruitment is helping one of our established clients recruit for an experienced Spray Painter to join their ever-expanding team. Within this role you will be reporting to the Production Manager.
Responsibilities of the Spray Painter:
· Spray Painting: Apply paint and finishes to lighting fixtures, components, and accessories using spray painting equipment. Ensure even, consistent coverage with no defects or imperfections.
· Preparation and Cleaning: Prepare surfaces of lighting components by cleaning, sanding, and priming them as required to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
· Quality Control: Inspect painted items for defects, such as drips, runs, or uneven coverage, and correct any issues before the components move to the next stage of production.
· Equipment Maintenance: Regularly maintain and clean spray-painting equipment, including spray guns, hoses, and filters, to ensure optimal performance and safety.
· Health and Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols for handling hazardous materials, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), such as respirators, gloves, and safety goggles.
· Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the production team to ensure efficient workflow and that production deadlines are met.
· Inventory Management: Track and report paint and material inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies are on hand for production.
· Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot painting issues, including problems with spray equipment, paint application, or defects in the painted surfaces.
Requirements of the Spray Painter:
· Previous experience as a spray painter or in a similar manufacturing role is highly preferred. Experience with painting metal or small components is desirable.
· Technical Skills: Proficiency in the use of spray-painting equipment, including spray guns and air compressors.
· Technical Skills: Knowledge and ability to mix paints correctly to ensure the correct coverage, strength and longevity of the coating.
· Ability to achieve high-quality, flawless finishes and pay close attention to detail in every aspect of the painting process.
· Knowledge of safety protocols, including the safe handling of paints, chemicals, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, ensuring that production goals are met efficiently
