What the Job Involves The role entails participation in a multi-agency team at Lancashire House in Accrington, with responsibilities divided between office presence three times a week and remote work twice a week. You will engage with statutory obligations under local child authorities, deliver social work assessment for referrals, and ensure the best possible outcomes through liaison with professional partners. You manage a diverse caseload, engage in court-related work, and perform assessments according to the Framework for the Assessment of Children in Need and their Families. Sharing responsibilities with partner agencies, you will handle appropriate service provision and take part in both statutory and planning meetings. This position requires thorough compliance with administrative procedures, use of IT systems, and active contribution to professional supervision and training. Your role also involves negotiating services for families, participating in the Common Assessment Framework (CAF) process, and maintaining responsiveness to community needs. The contract runs until February 28, 2025, with competitive hourly compensation.
