As a Hygiene Team Leader, you will manage, develop, and lead the team of In-House hygiene technicians safely and effectively whilst driving behavioural safety within the team to achieve and maintain a ‘Audit Ready Standards’ approach to site cleaning standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Have ownership of responsibilities and ensure team members understand their daily tasks.
2. Create a positive and safe working environment.
3. Report daily issues, including personnel matters, to supervisors in a timely manner.
4. Ensure all staff understand and follow procedures throughout the factory.
5. Oversee duties in assigned areas, including machinery, personnel training, and hygiene cleaning documentation.
Summary of Duties:
1. Deliver unsafe condition and behavioral audits with actions three times per week.
2. Achieve a 'right first time' clean, following set work instructions and safety protocols.
3. Ensure hygiene team members wear PPE at all times.
4. Identify and report issues to the Hygiene Supervisor promptly.
5. Complete related documents and records timely and accurately.
6. Ensure hygiene operatives follow correct cleaning guidelines.
7. Manage hygiene staff to ensure proactive and effective job performance.
8. Conduct start-up/inspection checks of cleaning equipment and report damages.
9. Supervise hygiene staff to ensure efficient task completion.
10. Maintain cleanliness of factory production areas.
11. Arrange interim cleaning of work surfaces.
12. Participate in deep cleans and manage hygiene factory documents.
13. Ensure the smooth operation of tray wash machines and report any issues.
14. Understand hygiene key inspection points.
15. Prioritize tasks and report issues to the Hygiene Supervisor.
16. Report Health and Safety issues or accidents immediately.
17. Maintain a positive working environment through effective engagement.
18. Adhere to COSHH regulations and handle chemicals safely.
19. Replenish chemicals and consumables as needed.
20. Cover for the Hygiene Supervisor in their absence.
21. Lead by example with a smart, professional approach.
22. Complete any reasonable tasks as required by management.
23. Maintain factory documentation, including CIC, time sheets, and cleaning records.
