About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join a secondary school in Glossop. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on students' learning experiences by providing tailored support to students with a range of educational needs.
Responsibilities include:
* Supporting students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, ensuring they achieve their learning goals.
* Assisting teachers in adapting the curriculum to meet the needs of individual students.
* Providing emotional and behavioural support, helping students to develop confidence and independence.
* Working closely with the SEN team to monitor progress and develop strategies to support students’ needs.
* Ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.
About You:
* Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting is preferred, but not essential.
* A passion for supporting students with additional learning needs.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
* A commitment to promoting inclusion and helping all students reach their full potential.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) would be an advantage but not essential.
