Job summary
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust's Adult Eating Disorders Service has a Physical Health Team which provides physical health assessment and management of patients who are high risk, as well as advice and support to primary care for others.
The service is supported by the wider multidisciplinary team including a psychiatrist, psychologists, RMNs, a dietician, nutritionist, occupational therapist and health care support workers.
We are looking for two Band 6 registered nurses (RGN or dual trained) (37.5 hours/week and 30 hours/week) to be part of the Physical Health Team.
You will be expected to work within professional guidelines and accountability.
This is a fantastic opportunity for continued professional development and further specialist training will be available. Some experience of eating disorders would be a bonus.

Main duties, tasks & skills required
Working within professional guidelines and accountability, the post holder will have joint responsibility for ensuring that the physical health monitoring of allocated high-risk patients takes place.
Case manage, alongside Band 7, all high risk patients that are not allocated to a therapist within the Eating Disorders Service (EDS).
Liaise with the allocated professionals both within and outside of the service as appropriate for all cases open to team (e.g. therapists within EDS, Care Co-ordinator within the Community Mental Health Team).
Liaise with other agencies, including accessing specialist inpatient beds and providing eating disorder support, guidance and training to those within primary care, acute care and secondary mental health services to ensure recovery-based and person-centred care.
Undertake assessments and ensure holistic care plans and risk assessments are recorded in line with Trust and professional record keeping standards and clinical care at all times.
The post holder will be required to work with a high degree of autonomy and professional accountability, demonstrating critical thinking as a team and skills in clinical decision making in the management of the patients requiring physical health monitoring.

Registered Nurse with current Registration (Adult Nurse, RNA).
Evidence of continuous professional development.
