5 hours per week (Monday to Friday 12.15pm to 1.15pm)

We have a busy school kitchen, serving an average of 400 school meals per day. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will work as part of a small, friendly team over the lunchtime period.
The duties will include:
1. Bringing trays/supplies between the dinner halls and the kitchen
2. Preparing food
3. Serving the children
4. Clearing the halls after the lunchtime period & sweeping/mopping the floors
5. Washing up
6. Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards to comply with statutory and school regulations
The successful candidate will be hardworking, highly motivated, adaptable, organised with good time management skills and committed to the role. A good sense of humour, flexibility and willingness to be part of a team are also essential attributes.
Experience in a kitchen is desirable but full training will be given. The successful candidate will hold (or be willing to undertake) Level 2 qualifications in Food Hygiene, Allergy Awareness and Health & Safety.
