Active Engagement Lead Salary Scale 3/4: £24,425 - £28,599 per annum Full Time & Permanent - 37 hours per week Across Bridgend and Pencoed Campus Job Purpose: Working as part of a fast-paced and innovative team that supports students in every aspect of Wellbeing, Mental Health and Safeguarding; you will be part of the Student Wellbeing Team working alongside Wellbeing and Safeguarding Leads, and a Student Experience Administrator. We strive to deliver a broad and varied range of extra-curricular opportunities and experiences to our students, to ensure that they develop the skills that will help them become healthy, active citizens who are ready to move onto Higher Education, training or employment. You will work collaboratively in this cross-departmental, cross-campus role to enable students to be all that they can be, through active engagement and participation. You will be responsible for establishing a network of Sport / Active Ambassadors and to devise a programme of sport and activity available to all students across all Campuses that will engage sedentary, mildly active and sport focussed students. You will identify and forge links with students who have had or currently engage in sport outside of college, using these students to champion active wellbeing across campuses, co-producing an active wellbeing strategy for the college, built upon the Colegau Cymru Active Wellbeing Strategy and the Wellbeing of Future Generations (Wales) Act. The Active Engagement Lead will organise and coordinate student engagement events, including Freshers’ Fair, Refresh Week, and support fairs, working with internal teams and external partners to enhance the student experience. They will also support the Learner Voice initiative by assisting in the recruitment and development of learner representatives and working with the manager to appoint student governors annually, ensuring students have a voice in college decisions.
