At Hays, we are working exclusively with a Multi Academy Trust who are looking to recruit a temporary Finance Assistant to join their team. There is a chance that this role could be permanent for the right candidate.
This is a varied role where your key responsibilities will include:
1. Handling central purchases and orders whilst managing new suppliers and detailing changes.
2. Review and follow up on outstanding orders.
3. Process and pay invoices on time.
4. Ensure correct coding and VAT.
5. Reconcile payments and address discrepancies.
6. Reconcile monthly Charge Card statements.
7. Maintain a list of charge cardholders and limits.
8. Handling/monitoring the finance inbox, any ad-hoc admin tasks and queries.
9. Assist with statutory accounts and audits.
To be successful in this role you will need experience working in a core finance role where you have had to demonstrate excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skills. You will have previously used a finance system.
