Job summary
We have a new opportunity for a Band 7 District Nurse to join our Lister House District Nursing team in Derby City based at Coleman Health Centre. You will benefit from working alongside our existing, experienced District Nurse and Senior Community Nurse as well as the wider Integrated Community Team, to deliver high quality nursing care across Derby City offering a varied and vibrant demographic.
This is an ideal opportunity for a newly qualified District Nurse with a passion for Community nursing and a wealth of Community experience. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent clinical skills and have a desire to develop their leadership skills in a supportive environment.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of this job are 50% Leadership/teaching and 50% Clinical. As such the successful applicant will split their time between supporting the team clinically and line managing the Senior Community Nurse and the Team.
In addition they will lead on developing nursing services within Derby City and implementing change alongside their fellow District Nurses, Clinical leads and the wider City leadership team.

Education, Qualifications and Training
Essential
1. First Level registered Nurse
2. Specialist Community Practice District Nursing Qualification
3. Evidence of recent post registration/professional learning
4. Prescribing Qualification ( either V100, V150 or V300)
Experience and Knowledge

5. Comprehensive understanding of national and local policy in relation to community health services.
6. Understanding of partnership and integrated team working
7. Proven track record of leading change and influencing practice
