SEN Teacher - KS1 Teacher - Peterborough - February Half-Term 2025

Timeplan in Cambridge is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teacher (KS1/2) to join an experienced and supportive team in an SEND setting linked to a mainstream school in Peterborough.
As an SEN Teacher, you'll have the opportunity to:
1. Provide Individualised Support: Work closely with students with SEN, offering personalized care, support, and guidance using intervention strategies to help them manage their emotions, develop coping mechanisms, and succeed academically.
2. Foster Positive Relationships: Develop trust and supportive relationships with students, creating a safe and nurturing environment where they feel valued, understood, and empowered to overcome challenges.
3. Collaborate with Professionals: Work with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and other professionals to implement individualized behaviour plans, track progress, and provide holistic support to students with SEN.
4. Utilize Evidence-Based Strategies: Promote positive behaviour, reduce barriers to learning, and facilitate the social and emotional development of students with SEND.
Ideally, you will have:
* Previous experience working with students with EBD or other SEN is desirable but not essential.
* Patience, resilience, and a calm demeanour.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to nurture positive relationships with students, colleagues, and their support network.
* Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or SEN support are advantageous but not strictly essential.
