Asset Accountant
About this Role
We are looking for an Asset Accountant to join our finance team in Milton Keynes, helping to manage and control asset financial records for Dawsongroup truck & trailer limited.
* Maintain and manage the fixed assets system, ensuring accuracy and compliance
* Calculate capital accruals and manage end-of-year provisions
* Produce invoices and relevant accounting entries
* Take ownership of the Road Fund Licence process, including accruals, PP, and reconciliation
* Monitor assets not rented and provide reporting on un-utilised asset aging
* Assist in the creation of management accounts and report on key business KPIs
About You
You’re a finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and takes pride in accuracy. You have a keen eye for detail and the confidence to work with senior stakeholders.
* Experience working in a finance team
* Essential: Experience with posting journals
* Desirable: Experience in asset accounting
* Part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA) preferred
* Strong analytical skills and ability to manage large data sets
* Understanding of double-entry bookkeeping
* A proactive approach with the ability to work independently
