JOB DESCRIPTION
Venn Group has been approached by a housing association to recruit for a technical surveyor who will directly report into the Property Services Manager.
Job Title: Surveyor + Management Responsibilities
Location: Leeds
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide a high level of customer service within the housing repair/maintenance sector.
* Hybrid role covering Damp, Mould, Condensation, and Voids.
* Conduct surveys across a range of properties, including domestic, tenanted, and void properties.
* Diagnose maintenance issues and provide solutions across all trades.
* Accurately specify maintenance and improvement works, including Schedule of Rates (SoR).
* Organise and prioritise a varied workload to meet targets and deadlines.
* Compile technical reports and maintain detailed records using property databases.
* Assist with projects related to property maintenance and improvement.
* Ensure health and safety compliance for maintenance operatives.
* Monitor and report on KPIs related to property services and repairs.
* Approve annual leave requests and support the overall management of the team.
Essential Skills/Qualifications:
* Proven experience working in the housing repair/maintenance sector.
* Experience of conducting surveys and working with property databases (including Microsoft Word/Excel).
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* HNC/Degree in Building Surveying or equivalent (or relevant qualifications).
* Experience in Social Housing.
* Understanding of health and safety regulations within property services.
* Experience in managing KPIs and contributing to service improvements.
* UK Driving License.
