Regional Specialty Research Leads play a key leadership role in the on-going development and performance of the National Institute for Health and Care's (NIHR) Research Delivery Network (RDN). The 29 post-holders provide leadership and advice, support research delivery, and participate in regional or national projects relating to capacity, capability and accessibility for research delivery within their specialty. The Specialty Leads provide the vital link between the regional, geographically-based networks (RRDNs) and national networks of expertise which is essential to the success of the RDN.
There are 29 roles available covering a number of specialties.
The roles are open to any relevant health and care team member from within the South West Central region. Applicants should be leaders active in delivery of NIHR RDN portfolio research.

The whole of England is supported through 12 NIHR Regional Research Delivery Networks (RRDNs).
We are the South West Central region and are hosted by University Hospital Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust.
The South West Central RRDN covers the following Integrated Care Systems:
1. Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire
2. Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire
3. Dorset
4. Gloucestershire
