Our client is a well-respected manufacturer within the power industry. They seek a talented Commissioning Engineer on a permanent basis in the Wolverhampton area.
The successful candidate will manage a range of commissioning activities over the full lifecycle of bespoke engineering projects and represent the commissioning function to customers and other departments within a nuclear OEM. Using solid engineering knowledge, you will extract the relevant information from specification and design documents to write, develop, and follow project commissioning strategies on niche engineered solutions.

You will be responsible for:
1. Creation of project commissioning strategy, reviews, and ensures its implementation.
2. Providing support to tendering, assisting in the creation of proposal estimation of hours, bought out equipment, test equipment, bespoke tools, etc.
3. Supporting Project Managers in issuing claims for scope of work changes, cost impact, time impact, risk quantifications, etc.
4. Ensuring adherence to safety standards in the area of responsibility and mitigation of potential risks.
5. Interpretation of Functional and Safety Functional Requirements.
6. Compile Test, Installation, and Commissioning Quality Plan.
7. Preparation of test reports.
8. Implementation of UK and European H&S legislation and appropriate standards.
9. Adherence to all relevant company policies and procedures.
10. Liaison with Engineering Design, Procurement, and Manufacturing personnel to ensure process optimisation.
You:
1. HNC Qualified or equivalent (or higher).
2. NVQ Level 3.
3. Extensive engineering workplace experience.
4. Broad base of experience in the operation of mechanical and/or electrical equipment.
5. Ideally conversant with British and European Technical Legislative standards (such as BS7671 for electrical engineers).
6. Essential conscientious approach with attention to detail within a challenging role.
