Supervise and support children, ensuring their safety and access to learning. You will establish constructive relationships with students and interact with them according to individual needs. As an apprentice, you will get hands-on experience and gain new skills whilst working alongside experienced staff. This role is term time only.

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
Support for children
* Supervise and support children, ensuring their safety and access to learning
* Establish constructive relationships with students and interact with them according to individual needs
* Encourage children to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher
* Encourage children to act independently as appropriate
* Ensure the educational, social, physical, emotional, health and welfare needs of the children are always met
Support for the teacher
* Support children in classroom engagement and learning as appropriate
* Occasionally to prepare the classroom as directed for lessons and clear afterwards
* Be aware of student problems/progress/achievements and report to the teacher
* Prepare and maintain equipment/ resources as directed by the teacher and assist students in their use
