Job Description Shift Engineer - Multiskilled Location: Kraft-Heinz Worcester Salary: £50,015 (inc shift premium of 15%) Working hours: 38 hours per week, Monday - Friday, working on a 3-week rotation between the three shift patterns AM (6am - 2pm), PM (2pm - 10pm) and Nights (10pm - 6am) Who are we? Role Purpose We are looking for a proactive and energetic individual to join our high-performing maintenance team. As a small & historic site within a large Food & Beverage business, we have plenty of hurdles to overcome, as well as opportunities to develop our established ways of working and leading in a high-performance maintenance function. This is where you come in You would be working alongside two other Shift Engineers, a Maintenance Lead and Engineering Team Leader to keep our site and its production lines running as smooth as possible. The ideal candidate will be a team player, easily able to communicate issues and take proactive steps to ensure the long-term success of our site maintenance, as well as being able to work independently as the need arises. Key Responsibilities Proactively monitoring the production line, communicating with operators, and addressing any issues on the spot. Leading by example, performing both preventive and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime. Rapidly responding to breakdowns by following LOTO procedures, identifying root causes, and implementing repairs. Taking ownership of improvement initiatives and driving proactive measures to ensure site output is optimised while prioritising a zero-loss culture within production. Opening and closing of the site will be required. Elements of cleaning, alongside the FSQ and operations team is required. What you'll have Time-served multiskilled engineer or equivalent experience; Experience in production environment, ideally fast-paced; Experience of repairing and maintaining centrifugal and lobe pumps; Experience of dealing within hydraulics and pneumatics; TIG welding experience or others; SAP experience or similar system would be a nice to have; Experience of steam systems.
