We are recruiting for a full-time Teaching Assistant to join the staff team at one of our welcoming Primary Schools in Wakefield, WF6.
The Primary School aims to provide a positive education and environment that enables pupils to be independent life long learners, who are respectful, creative and achieve to a high standard. They are seeking a passionate Teaching Assistant to join their school with immediate start, becoming part of a positive staff team focused on high achievement, creative learning and fun educational experience for pupils from KS1/KS2.
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience supporting pupils with reading/writing/maths interventions
- Experience supporting children with SEND is desirable
- Patience and understanding
- A calm, positive and confident manner
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work successfully as part of a team and use their own initiative
- A firm commitment to follow school policies and practice
We are seeking applicants with:
- A full and relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Confidence, inclusivity, and passion for supporting pupil progression.
- Strong subject knowledge and familiarity with the UK Curriculum.
- An enhanced DBS disclosure or be willing to obtain one through us.
- Right to Work in the UK, unfortunately we are unable to offer Visa Sponsorship.
We welcome applications from support staff seeking a new challenge, you can expect to earn up to £100 per day for this role.
