Job summary We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and well motivated professional to join our Public Health Team in Cwm Taf Morgannwg, working across the three counties of Bridgend, Merthyr Tydfil and Rhondda Cynon Taf. The post holder will contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of public health programmes in a range of different settings. Implementation will be system-wide, engaging health, local authority, and third sector colleagues as well as wider partners. The post holder will also provide support to the delivery of health improvement programmes/projects through; sharing relevant public health information, engaging partners in local approaches to improve population health, regularly facilitating training courses and engagement sessions, as well as undertaking routine monitoring and evaluation of programme/project activity. Main duties of the job The successful candidate will support the team in identifying and developing collaborative partnerships with organisations, and work across the system maintaining solid communication links with identified contacts. A focus will be to take forward health improvement programmes and initiatives, and to regularly facilitate training courses to a range of partners, including Making Every Contact Count (MECC) and sexual health training. The successful candidate will liaise with partners to influence the adoption of preventative approaches to improve population health. The post holder will be part of the Public Health team in Cwm Taf Morgannwg, working across the three counties of Bridgend, Merthyr Tydfil and Rhondda Cynon Taf.
