Job Title: Warehouse Operator Function: Supply Chain Location: Vandyke - Leighton Buzzard Reporting to: Warehouse Team Leader Direct Reports: None Standard Hours (inc shift pattern): 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday rotating shift between: Week 1 - 6am - 3pm Week 2 - 8:30am - 5:30pm BMI UK&I have an exciting permanent opportunity for a Warehouse Operator to join our team. Reporting to the Warehouse Team Leader, this role is based in Leighton Buzzard. Role Summary You will be working both as part of a team and on an individual basis both indoors and outdoors serving customers with deliveries and collections safely, efficiently and accurately. You are to ensure the correct space and weight when loading vehicles in an efficient and timely manner. You are required to maintain a high standard of quality at all times by ensuring no products are damaged during the picking and loading process. You must be able / comfortable to work in all weather conditions. As the Warehouse Operator, your key responsibilities will be: Ensuring a safe operating environment in the warehouse area for colleagues, visitors and yourself. Preparing loads prior to despatch. Loading and unloading of vehicles. Ensuring all vehicles are checked in accordance with documentation and current security procedures. Ensuring all physical inventory counts are carried out in accordance with the audited schedule and that the system is updated accordingly. Investigating stock and processing inter-works orders including special stock requirements as directed by Warehouse Team Leader or deputy. Your key skills and experience will include: Have experience of working outside and inside in a Yard/Warehouse. Have basic English reading/writing skills and good maths skills. Have good verbal communication. Have strong skills and experience using a computer and systems. Have good spatial visualisation and awareness. Ideally have exposure using the SAP system. Ideally have experience using a Fork Lift Truck.
