The primary purpose of this post is to assist the team leader III with the day to day monitoring of the Council s Report It online system (Fix My Street) with the ability to travel to locations across the district to investigate and action requests for service. The team will predominantly carry out task relating to parks and open spaces, but will also be required to support our Highways and Street Cleansing teams with a number of their service requests. Key Duties: Planting, pruning, seeding Hedge trimming Grass cutting parks, open spaces & verges Strimming, leaf blowing, raking Setting out and marking sports areas Upkeep of pitches (artificial and natural) Propagation and nursery care of plants Site preparation Manual litter picking and sweeping Emptying litter & recycling bins, and replacing liners Using electronic mobile devices to record work & log any issues Resolving any complaints as directed by managers The role: 37 hour weeks with some requirement for overtime to cover weekend and other duties as required by the service. GENERAL The post-holder will be expected to work/be available outside normal office hours including Bank Holidays, weekend and evening work as and when required for the emergency call out rota. You will be compensated for this. Your main place of work will be our Royal Victoria Nursery Depot in Bath, but you may need to work out of a number of operational depots across the district.
